My Theory (No Scratch That; Hypothesis)

alright so i have this theory and it's so happens to be about people and music. the way i see it pretty much everyone listens to music whether it's your normal stuff or people banging on trash cans or if you just hear it in your head. so here's where my theory comes in. you can pretty much tell what a person is like or what they're currently going through by looking through their music. i think people tend to pick their music because they connect with something in the music and that's assuming that the person is actually listening to the lyrics or what the music makes you feel. the music you listen to is an extension of you. the artist wrote it when they were feeling a certain way why not pick the music because you're feeling that way too. and if the person has a random choice of music, the stuff is all over the place, a lot like mine (if you happen to know everything on my zune and/or ipod you'd understand haha =] ), if you look at their most played songs or their playlist you can pretty much tell the same thing. what i don't think some people realize is that getting your hands on someones mp3 player is like holding their personal diary or their heart even. i mean i don't think i really have any playlist on mine except for every mood i can be in and the only thing that says my most frequently played songs is my computer. so far i haven't been able to prove or disprove my theory so i guess it's not even a theory as much as it's an hypothesis, but i think it makes sense that you should be able to tell a lot about a person through their music.

you know what, this communication of feelings through music is one of the things that makes music so great. i mean when you don't have the words for something there's probably some sort of song out there for you that can convey it or say the words you can't say. i love music so much i mean music and i are inseparable. some people like to joke and tease about it, but if i wasn't attached to the hip with music i probably would have never met or connected with half of my friends. music is a conversation starter. anyways those are my thoughts on music and people.
